Dallin and a whole bunch of scout and adult volunteers collected maternity and baby items today for Dal’s Eagle Project. So many people gave money, went out and bought new baby things, diapers, etc…, and gently used sweet baby clothes.
On the other side were people who unloaded their donation pile of extra-large male shoes and clothing. Our van is filled to the roof with donations for DI, which isn’t all bad it’s still a service. Here is the really bad, not quite understood, horrible donation: A grocery bag full of wet poopy diapers! Yep, someone either A. Thought it would be funny to donate used diapers. Or B. Left a bag of poopy diapers on their front porch and when they came out to dispose of them some helpful scout had already carted them away.
Dallin had friends over to help him sort and box all of the donations and it was apparent that this was a donation no one wanted to handle.
